I've always wanted to try lavender in my cooking (have lovely producing bushes in my garden) but haven't been brave enough. Thanks so much for sharing and showing the way!

one question, where does the softened butter come into play? i assume it's one of the things you cream the sugar with, but it's not in the recipe...just wanted to double check as shortbread can be quite finicky.
Oh no, I'm sorry! I can't believe I forgot to include the butter in the instructions... that's what I get for trying to write recipes in the morning. lol And FIVE pounds? WOW. You could make tons of these cookies ;)
