I have a question. I want to make mini triple berry pies in my mini muffin pans, but do you think I would be better off using a regular pie crust recipe or one that use for nut cups?

My nut cups crust recipe if it helps is:
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
1 cup all-purpose flour

I think you should make pie pops with a regular crust.

I think that either one would be fine. But, keep in mind the crust to pie crust ratio is a bit off with mini pies, so you need to make the crust thinner and/or the filling tastier. With triple berry pies, I would add a little bit of lemon juice and/or a teaspoon of butter to the filling (not per mini pie, for the entire batch) to help intensify the flavor.

Also, I've noticed that when making mini pies, they bake better if you have used the precook method for filling. That is, pre cook half to all of the filling in a sauce pan to make sure the moisture content is right, and the filling tastes great. Let it cool, then bake it into the mini crusts.

that's basically the recipe I use for mini pie crusts, they always come out great!
