Hi everyone! I'm in desperate need of recipe help. I need to make a dessert for a girls birthday party and the theme is "Pink Pink Pink"! The catch is no cake, and no cupcakes. Obviously, the more over the top PINK, girly, sparkly, glittery, etc. the better!

Thanks all!

Okay, sorry it's a bit late, but here are the recipes I mentioned. The hard candy is the one that needs to be done on a low humidity day, or it will become cloudy, and possibly tacky.

Hard Candy

Powdered Sugar
3 3/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
1 cup water
1 teaspoon flavor oil (cinnamon, peppermint, clove....) food color

Cover an 18 x 24 inch jelly roll pan with heavy foil and sprinkle it with powdered sugar. Set aside.

Mix the first 3 ingredients in a large heavysaucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar disolves. Boil, without stirring until temperature reached 310F (hard crack).

Remove from heat. Stir in flavoring oil and food color. Pour onto foil.
Let cool and then break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
Flavor oil can be bought from places that sell candy making and cake making supplies or you can get some flavors from a pharmacy.

Pastel Butter Mints

2 Lbs. powdered sugar (9 1/2 cups)
1/2 cup butter melted and cooled slightly
5 -6 Tablespoons water
3 teaspoons peppermint extract
food color

Mix the first 4 ingredients until sugar is moistened. Add a few drops of food color. Knead until mixture is smooth. Shape teaspoons full into small thin round patties on a cookie sheet. Immediately press surfaces with the tines of a fork for a crosshatch pattern. Let stand until completely dry.
Store in an airtight container in the refridgerator for up to a month.
