These cookies are a old favorite in my family.
Sour Cream Cookies
1 C butter 1 tsp baking soda
3/4 C sugar 1 tsp baking powder
1/2 C brown sugar 1 tsp nutmeg
2 eggs 1 tsp salt
1 C sour cream 3 1/2 C flour
1 tsp vanilla 1/2 C- 1 C chopped pecans
Pre heat oven to 350 F
Cream butter, sugars, and eggs. Add sour cram and vanilla. Mix well. Add the dry ingredients and the amount of pecans you want.. Chill dough. The dough is very sticky so it is important you chill it for a minimum of 3 hours. Roll dough out to about 1/2 in thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut with your favorite cutters. Bake until barely brown. About 8 to 10 minutes depending on your oven. Cool on a rack and enjoy

still, i have some questions - 1 C = 1 cup, right?
3/4 C sugar = white sugar?
how fat is your sour cream?
tsp = tea spoon?
1 tsp baking = baking powder?

yes it is white sugar
I always use regual sour cream because that's what grandma used but you could probally use low fat if you are watching stuff like that.
