the best chocolate cupcakes!!

these cupcakes are my favourite goodies to bake!
i baked and decorated these cupcakes this past weekend for my niece's 3rd birthday party.
this recipe in particular is the best chocolate cupcakes i've ever had!! so yummy. enjoy!

















& just for fun... entitled: don't eat me. :)




chocolate cupcakes.
2 cups (500 mL) all-purpose flour
2 cups (500mL) sugar
1/2 cup (125mL) cocoa powder
2 teaspoons (10mL) baking soda
1 tsp (5mL) baking powder
1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
1 cup (250 mL) vegetable oil
2 eggs
2 cups (500 mL) of butter milk
2 teaspoons (10 mL) vanilla

directions.
preheat oven to 350 degrees (180 degrees Celsius).

in mixer, on low speed, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder and salt.
add oil, eggs, buttermilk and vanilla.
increase speed and beat for 2 minutes, until well combined.
spoon into 20 paper-lined muffin cups, filling halfway.

bake for about 25 minutes or until tops are firm and tester comes out clean.
transfer to rack and cool completely.

i used regular chocolate frosting.
put some in a ziplock bag, cut off a little bit of the corner and piped!
inexpensive & easy!

may i ask if it's also possible to use the buttercream icing to do piping? i really have no clue about baking/icing and stuff like that. TIA!

Oh, that's such a clever idea! I've always just made my own pipes with baking paper, which is annoying cause you can only use it once (unless you want a huge mess)

So gonna do that next time!
